Chase Properties Ltd., a Beachwood, Ohio-based owner and operator of community shopping centers across the country, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Poplar Creek Shopping Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. Poplar Creek is a 34,100 square foot shopping center shadow-anchored by Super Wal-Mart and Lowes. Other tenants in the center include Petco, Shoe Carnival and Rue21. Craig Collins with Cushman & Wakefield brokered the sale.
The shopping center is located directly on Highway 127 at the Interstate 64 interchange in Frankfort, which is the capital city for the state of Kentucky. The Highway 127 corridor also includes many other retailers, such as Kroger, JC Penney, Pier One and Hibbett Sporting Goods.
Poplar Creek is Chase Properties’ fifth acquisition over the past 16 months and marks their fourth acquisition in Kentucky, as the company continues to focus on acquiring high quality shopping centers in secondary and tertiary markets.
